2.  Queen Elizabeth VRC Stakes

This horse race is part of the Victoria Racing Group 3 and consists of horses that are at least three years old. It’s set to take place at the end of the VRC Spring Carnival and is held at the Flamingo racecourse. Be sure to get set for the event at the beginning of November.

3.  Railway Stakes

This race is well known for the prize which usually goes for A$1,000,000. The race is part of the registered group 1 Australian horse race and is held in handicap race conditions. The event is held at Ascot racecourse and covers a distance of over 1600 metres. It is held in Perth during the last week of November. The first race of this kind first took place in 1887 and involved 60 sovereign stakes.

4.  WA Guineas

This race is part of the Perth thoroughbred horse race in group 2. It consists of horses three years of age and some required set of weights. The race takes place in Ascot racecourse in Perth with a total distance of 1600 metres. The race first took place on November 1937 and has been held in the same month ever since. However, the event once stopped in 1941 due to war economics and later resumed in 1943. Its purpose was to mark the king’s birthday.

5.  Caulfield Cup

The Caulfield Cup is known to be one of the biggest racing events in the Australian calendar. Since it is the major race in the Melbourne Cup, you are most likely to see most of the horses from the previous races. The previous race was held on the 20th of October 2018. In 2019, the race is set to take place on one of the Saturdays in October. It will be the main event of the Melbourne racing club event that is set to take place for three days in the spring racing carnival. The event will take place at the Caulfield racecourse in Melbourne. The Caulfield cup race, which is worth over A$5,000,000, will take place under handicap conditions and covers a distance of over 2400 metres.
